Die diesjährige RGCD C64 16KB Cartridge Game Development Competition hat begonnen

und die bisherigen Einträge sind mal wieder vom Allerfeinsten.

p0snake und Pixel City Skater sind unglaublich geil.

HOWTO:
- installiert dosbox (called iDOS2 in the app store)
- besorgt euch ein dosbox image mit win3.11 (z.b. freegeos)
- installiert iExplore auf dem pc und schiebt das image ins app verzeichniss von iDOS (app/idos2/dokumente oder so)
- der tricky part ist, dass iDOS von haus aus dieses oben genannte verzeichniss als laufwerk c: mountet und wir c: leider brauchen, aber erst nachdem wir von dort das image haben... hier beisst sich die katze in den schwanz :(
- mountet das image als laufwerk d ( imgmount d c:\virtuelles_laufwerk.img -size blabla )
- unmountet c ( mount -u c )
- mountet d als c (mount c d:)
- und startet nun den emu von c: neu (boot -l c)

bingo
win läuft..... kein hexenwerk

nix verstanden?
in iDOS auf das config symbol tapsen. dann auf "customize config".
jetzt runterscrollen und eine raute(#) for play schreiben. anschließend folgendes einfügen (hier heisst das image freegeos.img)

imgmount d c:\freegeos.img -size 512,63,16,907 
mount -u c
mount c d:
boot -l c

the biggest C64 demoparty series in the last decade, the X Party is comming up this weekend in Someren, Holland.

If i'd be younger [add any other excuse] I'd appear. Maybe I should learn to pigsel and work for an entry in 2 Yrs. (x only takes playe every 2nd yr)

To keep in touch with the party crowd I suggest to fire up IRC, watch scenesat and check The Digital Dungeon and CSDB permanently.

another Chameleon64 Core released - the MSX

these are amazing times for chameleon64 (a fpga based computer) owners:

The MSX2 Computer

This 8bit System was originally released in 1984 and is more or less a "standarized" computer, manufactured by a lot of companies.

The FPGA translation is called OneChipMSX and works quiet brilliant on the Chameleon64.
