After nearly two years of development the PAL-2 was released yesterday.
The PAL-2 is the direct successor of the PAL-1, a KIM-1 clone. Unline the little PAL-1 the PAL-2 is a complete KIM-1 clone with 65 Mb RAM, all I/O chips and much much more features. The developer Liu spend his free time implementing the new features and even added real switched keys, keycaps and a Keypad cover like on the original KIM-1
Additionally we have an expansion connector and an application connector also like on the real KIM.
The PAL-2 addressing mode is completely implemented in accordance with the design of KIM-1, so it is compatible with most programs developed on KIM-1.
PAL-2 has 2K bytes ROM (complete KIM-1 Monitor), 65K bytes RAM, two 6532 RIOT chip on board, provides a full KIM-1 experience except the audio part. In addition, PAL-2 also provides TTL serial port to support terminal operation and KIM-1 compatible expansion ports for future upgrade.
If you ever wanted a affordable KIM-1 (clone) this is your chance. As always with these hobby projects I suggest to be quick, before it is sold out again. Get it here:

Mine is already ordered and the soldering iron is pre heated. As we use to say in german: I'm hot like French fry oil (ouch... silly google translation)
